Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use my insurance?
Depending on the condition for which you are being treated, upon request, I will provide an invoice that you can submit to your insurance. Important questions to ask your insurance include:

  1. Do you cover out of network occupational therapy services?
Are there specific diagnoses and conditions that are covered?
  2. Do you require a physician’s prescription for any type of reimbursement?
  3. and for what conditions.

Make sure you have all the information your insurance needs to accept this claim. Full payment will be due at the time of treatment, and I will provide you with an invoice to submit to your insurance.

Can I use my flexible spending account (FSA) account?
Occupational therapy services may also be paid for using your FSA benefits. Contact your provider for details of coverage. I will provide a receipt for you to submit.

What is the duration of a treatment session?
CranioSacral Therapy sessions are offered for either 60 or 90 minutes. The initial appointment is 60 minutes. Based on your history and response to treatment, we can determine whether 90 minute sessions would better meet your needs.

How many sessions do I need before I notice a change?
The recommended frequency and duration of the sessions are individual based on your initial symptoms and the length of time you have been affected by them. Some people find relief in a couple of sessions and others may need consistent, ongoing sessions for a longer period time. If you respond well to the first session when focused on a specific condition, it is recommended that you schedule 3-4 sessions at a minimum of one week apart to establish some level of consistency with treatment. Based on how your body responds, we can formulate an appropriate treatment schedule moving forward.

How do you accept payment?
Payment is accepted via cash, check made out to ‘Falling Leaf Wellness,’ and any major credit card. Credit card payments are received via square.

What is your cancellation policy?
Please use the scheduling system or call 202-525-6072 to reschedule or cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance so the appointment time can be opened up for other patients. A $75 late cancellation fee will be charged for any sessions cancelled within 24 hours.
