Meditation Classes

Take Five Meditation
Clarity, Connection,& Purpose
Wednesdays 8-8:30am
Start your day cultivating a connection with yourself. It’s your internal relationship to self that can help you stay on track and become more in tune with your innermost guidance and intuition. Together, we will set an intention and create space for you to develop a steadiness within in order to navigate life with more ease.

Using your Body as a Compass
Sundays 1-1:45pm
We are often caught in our thinking mind, analyzing everything in order to make decisions. Our bodies hold much wisdom for us and can offer us answers that our minds simply can not figure out. Spend some time connecting to the inner wisdom that lies within and make decisions from a more grounded place.

Yin Yoga for Release and Restoration

Yin yoga is a deeply nourishing practice. The long held floor based poses invite you to ground into your hips and feel into your stability despite the chaos around you. Breathing with and being present with and curious about all that is arising can strengthen your nervous system and your capacity to handle what is coming towards you in your life.

If you are looking to deepen your connection to your own spirit and integrate the benefits you receive on the mat into your day to day life, join me for this extended yin practice. This workshop will offer yin poses, guided meditation, journaling prompts related to the astrological energies of the month, and some hands on energy work (with your permission). It is intended that you feel deeply restored and more connected to yourself by the end of the session.

Reconnecting with Your Center after Pregnancy Loss: A Workshop for Mind, Body, and Spirit

with Manisha Tare and Emma Basch

October 7, 2017 Time: 1:00pm -3:00pm Location: Washington Yoga Center 4000 Albemarle St NW #100, Washington, DC 20016

Pregnancy loss is an issue that impacts many and yet remains deeply enshrouded in shame and silence. As a result, many women experience ongoing emotional and physical challenges following a loss and are often not afforded the time and space to process the experience. When women come together to support each other, the potential for healing magnifies. As professionals who work with women who have experienced pregnancy loss at various stages, we would like to offer you a safe, healing space to support you in processing this difficult experience and help you re-connect with yourself emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Our time together will consist of gentle movement, journaling, guided visualization, facilitated discussion, and mindfulness strategies. Our hope is to help you begin to integrate the experience of loss and facilitate greater connection between mind and body. Our intention is to have you leave feeling the support of community, more connected to your body, and with practices you can take with you to integrate into your day to day life.
